I feel a little too self-congratulatory (haha) posting here.. but oh well. I know this one Albanian girl from my school, and she asked me to help her with some math. When she was in her country her school blew up in 5th grade so she hadn't learned math in forever. Plus, when she was at school last year, she told the guidance counselor that she was only here to learn English, so they didn't give her any math classes. She really hates math. I had lunch but I sat in the library with her and taught her how to do fractions. She had no idea how to do them but she said she understood by the end. I could sort of see the appeal in teaching that day.
